Tech Communities for Small business
Tech Communities for Small business it’s a support community for entrepreneurs or small business, who still do not have enough capital to have technology people on their team,
State your goals.
the objective of this community is:
- • Evaluate the ideas of innovators and companies.
- • Clarify your doubts about how implementable these ideas are.
- • To be able to count on professionals from various ICT areas who can hire for small phases of the project.
- • And Put ideas to analyze possible technological profiles that would like to work on it and then be part of the team.
- Allowing people with no experience in the technical area will be able to help some business or person with their idea to create a portfolio that can show to be hired or in the future have their own company and clients.
What problems (particularly in value chain competitiveness and global disruption) are your community’s stakeholders facing due to the Covid-19 pandemic?
Use my experience working with various technology communities, to bring those who have ideas closer to the creators, that they can be sure that they can carry out their ideas and that at least they will be evaluated, that the companies can grow together with the developers, without limiting yourself to not having an intense innovation budget. This allows technology professionals to use their knowledge to create incredible projects and companies to be able to reach their full potential.
What minimum viable solution(s) are you proposing to address the challenge(s) in your community?
After being quarantined for more than 2 months, we have been able to analyze that perhaps medium and large companies had enough to continue operating and paying employees for probably up to 6 months or a year, some a little more, some of these companies have with technology departments to cope with changes and adapt in some cases to work from home, but many small companies and new entrepreneurs have a different history since they were at the time of being able to start their business, and the pandemic has caused considerable losses and forced many of them to close and feel frustrated and prefer to return to being employees, but now with many debts
Small companies and innovators do not always have technology personnel unless the innovator is from the area, so in this situation, many of them lack knowledge of how to work remotely, work with agile teams from a distance.
While many young talents today are unemployed because they have no experience, and they have no experience because they have not yet been employed.
The idea is to help connect these two communities for collective development,
How we are going to be sustainable?
We will provide certifications for the developers for a low-cost price, and also if they want us to validate their actual portfolio to gain the badge of reviewed and confirmed with customers before. The small business will pay to be able to search inside this community, we have the lite view and the recommended, and will cost less than hiring an employee, we know they will pay because we made a research here in DR and all the new business are looking for devs to listen and help them to refine their ideas, because right now they just have this maybe once a year inside a hackathon or a startup weekend, we are helping them to receive this pre-evaluation, before asking for money to an angel investor.
We are also providing full training for devs, they are going to pay to be part of this database validated.
Devs can be on the platform until they got their first job or they can continue helping to build the community, and the small business will be part until they now have enough money to hire a full-time dev to carry on the mvp that they already created with the community.
in DR there is a ton of communities in tech and the leaders work to provide opportunities for new devs.

Your final proposal for challenge
yes
Sounds really good.
Hey there!
I really liked your idea so I decided to give a little feedback.
As a tech savy guy I might ask, what is it in for me? Why would I go into your website to give feedback other than to help? I may go on stack overflow to get recognition from my peers and a better job, what have your platform to offer?
How are you going to keep your business a float? I see a lack of a business model of sorts.
Kind regards,
Nelson.
P.S. Me alegra mucho ver mas hermanos latinoamericanos, seria interesante conocernos :p
Jullisa, This is a global need and a cause that most communities can benefit from. I like it.
I am wondering what your strategy to market is, as Tech Communities for Small business kinda seems like an easy task, but not to be cliche ....what is the value prop for the tech communities and Small business. How do you sustain it?
Suggestion: Speaking from experience, we started with Hackathon, meetups as a way to informally draw out the talent and invite the resources yet the product development cycle requires a few moving parts from all stakeholders. What are some of the challenges you forsee?
If I understood your project correctly, you are building an incubator for small businesses and early founders or idea conceptor with little or no skills. How will your model be sustainable? How do you plan on supporting your community financially? Please let your story tell why exactly you chose this project to work on. It will help hook your audience and give them better understanding. Keep pushing. Good luck Julissa
How are you going to maintain this idea without proper funding? Please explain your business model.
All in all your idea is quite innovative and effective. "Share your story" is not about introducing yourself, but you need to write down your experiences about what you've done with your idea.
From my understanding, you didn't state the problem you're trying to solve. You only stated what you will do using your experience, so I'm left without knowing what problem(s) you're trying to solve, for whom (i.e. target customer/audience), and how urgent this problem(s) is/are.
This is an such a good idea and very needed!!!
Hi there, it is not clear what the strategy to market is, would be great to hash that out alot more
Sounds great! I see it as a matchmaking facility, is that correct? In that case, I see global potential with exchange of expertise and skills for those in need. How would you fund those assistants? Is there a specific field of ICT you would offer professionals for?
The idea has been progressed to the next milestone.

Hello Julissa, congrats on what you have achieved with all your amazing ventures.
Your pitch line is so simple and clear to have everyone understand your venture and the key value proposition instantly from the start.
You've perfectly indicated your understanding of the target segments needs and pain points. The issue you are trying to tackle is very relative to my personal experience and many other entrepreneurs I know of, so I believe many aspiring professionals and entrepreneurs would like to join your community.
It would be helpful if the websites has English versions, so talents and interests can participate easily from diverse backgrounds.
Also, I have a few questions if you would not mind answering:
1. It has always been a bit of a challenge for us who come from a non-tech background to operate a tech start-up, even if the budget is sorted, there would be foreseeable issues in communication with most of the tech professionals. Would there be any solutions for such issue with the communities?
2. Following the question 1, as it seems you are connecting early professionals in tech with businesses needs the skills in their team? Have you considered how a newly established business run by non-tech people can manage their communication and expectation with a tech professional with minimal practical experience? Is there a matching process for both parties where you'd have an experienced tech professional to offer any sort of training and guidance?
It would be really helpful to have some data for any potential target audience to understand what to expect, and understand the various community segments’ persona would be involved, therefore everyone would understand how to co-develop this valuable community together.
Last but not least, once the entire map of the member experience is there, would there be any funding needed to keep it running, if so, is there a business model or external sources of funding options you are considering?
Thanks and looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Hi Julissa, this sounds like a great initiative. After reading your description is a bit unclear to me will the tech professionals provide their services voluntarily? Or is it monetised? and if so, how?
What minimum viable solution(s) are you proposing to address the challenge(s) in your community?
Would you be able to reframe the answer to this and be a bit more specific with the MVP solution you're suggesting? what are the action steps and how does the solution look like? Thanks
What is your business model? How do you manage the full system?
Hi Julissa, this is a great idea and well done on the work you've achieved so far.
Your problem statement isn't clear enough though. You need to state the problem in very clear terms and then link the problem to your solution. And it's also no clear what solution you are offering either? It sounds like you are wanting to create a community who can help with incubating ideas and support local entrepreneurs. Are you proposing an incubator program or club as a solution to your problem? Clarifying your problem and solutions statements would help your idea a lot.

Dear Julissa, Thank you so much for sharing your idea with us. Your idea will definitely help startups and small companies those who want to do business with any product or service of technology. Can you share with us what kind of backend developers are in your team?
This is good. Question: How will the business sustain itself?

Hi everyone I will be adding all your comments and questions to the idea so you can review it again!! Thks for the amazing feedback and sorry for the delay I was off because all this covid situation
Hi, Julissa!
Congratulations on a great idea! I think your project is well framed into the current COVID-19 situation, as it has put a strong emphasis on how useful new technologies are for many industries to embrace the "new normality." Given the importance of Small and Medium Enterprises, this is a great initiative to make sure they are not being left behind.
However, I want to kindly make a few suggestions to help you improve the way it is presented:
- Provide clarity on the business model it will follow. Will it be a pro-bono initiative in which experts will help small businesses, an NGO, a for-profit company (or perhaps a combination)?
- What is the value added this initiative will provide in comparison with other options small businesses could use (bechmark analysis)?
- Will the implementation be focused on a specific region or what will be the territorial scope, so to speak?
- I think it would be great if you could also provide more details on the areas in which the tech communities will be able to provide support to small businesses (e.g. cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital payments, etc.).
Hope you find these comments useful! :)
Best,
César
Thank you all, updated the proposal, Hug Ideas and comments!! I so happy.

have you done research to see if there is enough demand from small businesses and available budget to create a meaningful revenue stream for the supply side? Maybe you can have a look at https://www.kuhustle.com/ here in Kenya.
Hi Julissa,
Good initiative, how do you connect the innovators and companies, do you run accelerator programs?
Interesting project, wish you all the best :)
