KONDJIGBALE
Digital health record. It allows to have a history of your medical history in real time and at any place. It also allows the doctor to record diagnoses...accessible everywhere via mobile,web,ussd....
Define three specific objectives that you would like to achieve with your proposal.
- Reduction in hospital mortality
- Making health care accessible to all
What problems (particularly in value chain competitiveness and global disruption) are your community’s stakeholders facing due to the Covid-19 pandemic?
The Covid19 has touched all over the world. A patient goes to the clinic, to the hospital, to a private doctor. Beyond the symptoms detected during the consultation, how do you know your health history? His background? His blood group? Her allergies?
What is true in the case of the current Coronavirus is also true in the daily health of the entire population: pregnant women and babies, young children, adults suffering from chronic diseases. And of course, the problem is found throughout the entire sub-Saharan sub-region.
What minimum viable solution(s) are you proposing to address the challenge(s) in your community?
The creation of a digital ecosystem including a customer area adapted to each profile (shared medical file, making appointments, geolocation of health facilities, health advice, monitoring of growth inducers, alerts on dosage).
A multical ecosystem distributed on USSD, Notification SMS and voice SMS, Call center in local languages, Mobile and Web application, a ChatBot WhatSapp and local agencies in order to reach a maximum of people.
A collaborative and exchange platform for healthcare professionals.
HIS (Health Information System) interface
Share your story (your narrative)
One day, watching my favorite show, my phone rang. Who was it ? My brother, distraught and
worried that I had forgotten my seriously ill nephew's health record, so he asked me to
bring him quickly. It took a lot of hassle to bring them the notebook. Knowing
that in matters of health and life, time is precious. I wondered if my nephew had
risk losing his precious life for a simple health record.
Being a developer So I thought of setting up a virtual health book accessible everywhere
which we named Kondjigbale and which works by mobile, web and for non-areas
connected by sms and ussd.
It allows the doctor to record diagnoses, analyzes and prescriptions. The biologist or
pharmacist can therefore easily find an analysis or a prescription using a
secure reference number.
Please provide any additional relevant information that you would like to share.
Any user with a phone number can access the solution by having an account.
Depending on the profile, the patient has access to services via the various channels (USSD, SMS, Call Center, mobile APP, Web and Whatsapp chatbot). He has a secure code to access his medical file which he can share with his attending physician. He can make an appointment with the latter for a remote consultation. He can access the results of analyzes and prescriptions from his channel.
The practitioner who created his account must validate with a professional identification number. Anyone who can read and write in a medical file to which they have access, consult remotely, exchange with their peers. They can create a new account for a patient.
The State and its partners can consult the statistical data and have the possibility of export.
Your Final Proposal for challenge
yes
This is a much needed solution in African communities as you highlighted. I think you need to validate your idea, collaborate with health facilities to develop your solution more. Good luck
I like the idea and surely, it makes sense, especially if something similar is missing in general in such a huge region. This is an ongoing (and never ending) process in the EU and member states separately. If I understand it correctly, this is something you can have a look at the existing EU solutions, this is the good news. The challenge however is - as usually in most cases in healthcare - to explain why it is not a governmental task. The question is not ideological, because legislation can be a huge question mark. I do not know the regional and/or local legislation, but in our case, that was a large chunk of the headache to solve. Anyways, congrats and I hope it will fly and we can cooperate in some way in the future.
I like the idea behind. It's pretty well thought out. Courage to you
Hi Yvon,
I trust you are well.
Let me congratulate you on your idea. This is truly a great idea that I’m certain insurance companies would be happy to utilize. Moreover, your solution can help doctors track the health evolution of humanity post COVID-19.
I wish to share a question and a remark for your consideration.
1. How do you plan to monetize your platform?
2. Consider changing your objectives into SMART objectives to reflect how you intend to convert your idea to a prototype in the years to come. Visit https://thedigitalprojectmanager.com/project-objectives/ for a detailed explanation
Excellent idea.
As a public service it could be funded by government, to ensure general uptake.
As you know, security and confidentiality is paramount with patient records.
End-to-end. Fingerprint access plus cover-code could help. Best wishes.
The idea has been progressed to the next milestone.

Hi Yvon, I hope you are doing well.
I went through your proposal, your idea is explained clearly in a simple way, and it is really helpful in assisting users with chronic diseases to better auto-monitoring their illnesses, which is great, and also to save time, please allow me to give some questions and recommendations I would appreciate if you to can consider.
- At local level, as international level, more similar applications are being implemented, which increases the market competitiveness, what could be the unique features, or advantages you can attrack more users to embrasse the KONDJIGBALE?
-I also have proposed, my team members and I a healthcare application in a korean university Hackathon contest, where it has been figured out, as expressed by the experts comments, that Korean ministry of Health is still not officialy recognising these applications in the health sector for different government and citizens concerns, if this is the case in your country, how can you convince the ministry and the other stakeholdes concerned to get agreement, and gain the trust of your clients, or getting a supporting policy to officialize them at public medical facilities.
- More and more people are having serious concerns about their privacy, especially when it comes to sensitive data, I believe health data records and sharing supporting the health application is extremely imroving the effectiveness of the treatments by professionals, also time saving, but in which way, can we keep the information confidential, and help our uses to use and share their sensitive data in security way.
-Lastly, I want to outline again, the usefullness of your application, especially in data records management, and all the social values, and its contribution for the community well being and safety, this is why I deeply hope that my suggestions could give you some guidance, please feel free to ask for any suggestion I can help with.
For Covid-19 pandemic it's a most demanding project. I am worried about senior citizen. How do you ensure their health support.

Hello, did you check if something similar doesnt exist yet? I know that in France our basic health insurance has this kind of service. Their website its called Ameli and there you can choose an option to activate online health record. Best, Mojca

Good one. On a serious note, will it employ block chain technology? Who owns the data? As a patient,i believe that am the source of the data, then i should own it. Also, from what point does the data start existing (on boarding process), when a baby is born and the profile is created or when does one opt in?

Hi Yvon
I really like your idea and believe there is a need for it not only in Africa but from my experience in the UK as well.
I think that your narrative is very good as you demonstrate the need for your product from personal experience. I agree with you that the pandemic has exacerbated the need for such a product but that it is applicable in ‘normal’ times as well.
I think that you need to improve the objectives of the product as you only have two at present and they are not SMART objectives and they don’t entice someone to want to find out more about the product or indeed invest. Think about the problem you are trying to solve and relate your objectives securely to that.
Your product is offering many things and whilst it is good to plan strategically for scale and expansion in the first instance it might be better to have a tighter spec for your MVP with plans to roll out more services once the tech has been proven.
How do you plan to monetise your product? Is it something that the government will see of value and be prepared to fund? Alternatively what about the private sector companies that stand to benefit from the product being in place? The least best option would be to look at the users paying for the product. You need to have a robust plan in place in order for investors to be interested.
Finally as one of the commentators to your idea mentioned the health industry is highly regulated and security is of especial importance. You would be wise to cover off both these bases.
Good luck with the idea it definitely has legs.
Kind regards
Carolyn
Hello Yvon, this is a brilliant idea. Advances in technology like electronic health records (EHRs) have changed the way the health care industry operate. Some of the challenges you may have to face and address are;
1. physicians burnout - studies have shown that EHRs contribute to physicians burnout due burdensome user interface
2. Interoperability - the largest problem with EHRs is s the lack of interoperability between disparate systems.
If you can address these and others you're good to go. All the best
