ESMART

Electronic Safety Monitoring, Alert Ready Technology (ESMART) is an Application Device that uses AI Technology in vision learning with 3 main goals that is 1) to monitor office workers, 2) maintenance of public safety and 3) intrusion alert. The technology eliminate or limits human-to-human or human-machine interaction in achieving the three main goals. The system will function in a non-obtrusive environment that avoids impairment of fast and reliable services.

Define three specific objectives that you would like to achieve with your proposal.

1. Contact Less Attendance Monitoring

2. Intruder Detection

3. Non-obtrusive Public Safety Monitoring

What problems (particularly in value chain competitiveness and global disruption) are your community’s stakeholders facing due to the Covid-19 pandemic?

1. Slow contact tracing of possible Covid19 exposed individual

2. Slow delivery of services due to queuing.

3. Possible exposure to Covid19 virus due to boundless physical contact.

What minimum viable solution(s) are you proposing to address the challenge(s) in your community?

Develop systems that eliminates/limits physical contact.

Share your story (your narrative)

Due to Covid19 Pandemic the world economy that we know have changed. Activities of people of all ages had been disrupted for various reasons. One is a self-imposed quarantine to avoid acquiring the deadly disease. Second, is a government imposed quarantine that restricts movement of people, goods and services. Due this quarantine, business establishments were forced to close thus impairing practically the whole economy whether or not it is self-imposed or government quarantine policy.

With the virus contained in selected places, movement of people is now slowly returning and business opened at a limited capacity. However, there are factors that needs attention in the slow return of the economy. First is the delayed delivery of goods and services due to long queue. Second, is the boundless physical contact of human-to-human or human-to-machine, like ATM machines and etc, that may cause the transmission of the Covid19 virus.

Thus, it is necessary to develop AI systems that would eliminate or limit physical contact in order to provide security and ease of mind to people who are risk of contracting the illness. People in workplaces, business owners and customers who are allowed to do daily activities as mandated by government policies or just people who needs the services. This contact free systems will improve efficiency of companies or governments in delivering basic services to their clienteles and customers with ease in mind.

Please provide any additional relevant information that you would like to share.

The system is using Jetson Nano, Vision Learning and Free and Open Source Software

Hello i see youre new here
Anyway this is a small piece of advice
My advice Start small and build momentum, Being a social entrepreneur can be very difficult, you are constantly in a field dominated by changing dynamics, you will often face business challenges, and you have to start small and build your enterprise from the ground up. You must be resilient, realistic, and passionate about your goals and the impact you are trying to achieve.

To add to your solution, I am sharing with you questions from one of our trainings that can help in refining our ideas and projects
What business model will you follow to implement this idea?
What methodology or strategy will you use during different processes of implementing this idea?
Which are the processes you have to go through until the finalization of the idea?
What means or tools do you need to implement my idea?
Which are your potential collaborators, investors?
I honestly suggest that before you submit your idea or project, please and ask yourself these questions and even if you have submitted their project, do remember that we still have opportunity to refine our ideas and resubmit. I hope that you find this useful.
Also, please create time and take the campus online trainings as the trainings are there to help campus members understand what it is to be an entrepreneur.

Hello, Thanks to your advice, I will incorporate a business model for this.

Nabuyuni Sankan Jul 27, 2020

Hello Jaymer

Good stuff
Kindly elaborate your three objectives and its sustainability in the working areas as it is not very clear.

"What minimum viable solution(s) are you proposing to address the challenge(s) in your community?"

"Develop systems that eliminates/limits physical contact."

Kindly elaborate the solution on how where and what will be used to solve the problem at hand.

Wishing you best of luck
Kind Regards.

Well Noted...

Israel Abazie Jul 28, 2020

If I understood your idea submission correctly, you are proposing a structured hardware that eliminates human physical contact with anything. I think you need to state clearly how you intend to achieve this. Do you already have a prototype, have you tested it? How will this be sustainable?

Jaymer Jayoma Jul 29, 2020

The software is now ready, while the hardware is on testing phase. The design will be used in the offices which is mandated to conduct minimum health standard that is a new normal here in the Philippines.

Ivan Ochieng Jul 28, 2020

Hi Jaymer,

ESMART is a very interesting product. I am curious to know your revenue model?

Jaymer Jayoma Jul 29, 2020

I'm on the process of choosing the model. Hopefully I can give you a clear reply once our team decides on it. Thank you

Issoufou Seidou Sanda Jul 28, 2020

I think it would be good to know more about how the system works. Just knowing that is is using Jetson Nano may not be enough to assess it viability. In order for the idea to be innovative, you may be adding something to the existing tool or using it in a new way. We need this information to decide whether the idea is innovative or not.

Jaymer Jayoma Jul 29, 2020

Hello, we will publish our work ones we're done with the testing phase. So as to provide enough information to the next innovators

Sunday Bawa Jul 28, 2020

Hi, do you have an MVP?

Jaymer Jayoma Jul 29, 2020

hello, since we are still on the development, we still have to test it our initial users. Hopefully, a month or two. Thank you

adeola Aloman Jul 28, 2020

Good idea. I will like to know the detailed sustainability of your model.

Jaymer Jayoma Jul 29, 2020

Hello, our team will have to decide on the sustainability model. Thank you

Marabe Ditshego Aug 14, 2020

Good day Jaymer,
I wish to convey my gratitude for your well-being.

Let me congratulate you on your idea.

Allow me to share a few considerations.

1. Consider using the problem section to articulate the exact COVID-19 related problems which ESMART will be solving. Moreover, you should make use of statistics or facts pulled from reliable sources to give the problems listed credibility. You have actually made mention of these problems in the story section however it may be more suited for the problem section. Note: the problem and story sections are in my opinion the two most important sections that make or break your idea/post.
2. Consider using the minimum viable solution section to provide details of the technology aspect of ESMART and how each piece of technology will be leveraged to improve (1) slow contact tracing of possible COVID-19 exposed individuals, (2) slow delivery of services due to queuing, and (3) possible exposure to COVID-19 virus due to boundless physical contact.
3. Consider changing your objectives into SMART objectives that reflect on the steps you will take to develop your idea into a prototype in the years to come. Visit https://thedigitalprojectmanager.com/project-objectives/ for a detailed explanation.
4. Consider using the story section to share the personal experience/s that lead or inspired you to come up with this idea.

Regards.

EUNICE KAJALA Aug 21, 2020

Hi Jaymer,

Good product! Who are your target audience?

Jaymer Jayoma Aug 21, 2020

Hello Eunice, the target clients are malls, government agencies and check points.

Muyunda Kaonga Aug 21, 2020

Awesome stuff Jaymer, I am glad we have people like you working on amazing things to make this world a better place. What have been some major challenge in implementing your idea and what social impact do you intend to cover in relation to Sustainable development Goals? Great start all the best

Jaymer Jayoma Aug 22, 2020

Hello Muyunda,

The major challenge in this implementation is the Philippine Data Privacy where it limits the access of public information for the implementation of contact tracing that will mitigate the spread of the virus. With this project it is expected to help business and offices run their daily chores that will have an impact in the sustainable growth of the economy that was negatively impacted by the COVID19 crisis.

DJ Koeman Aug 26, 2020

hey boss, I love the acronym, ESMART, brilliant. However, I am not sure if I understand what the device exactly does, or how it works? It eliminates/reduces contact. When doing what exactly? I may have missed it completely, in that case I do apologize!
In the meantime, you may want to have a look at our idea and vote for it if yo like it: https://cocreate.itu.int/post/3496670

Jaymer Jayoma Aug 27, 2020

Hello Dj, the device can detect face, temperature and etc that is useful in mall entrance, check points, or any gated community that implements social distancing, attendance monitoring. It will limit physical contact to avoid any transmission of deadly/infectious disease and enhance foot traffic. Thanks, On the other hand. I will check on your project.

Olajide Ogunmoroti Aug 29, 2020

Hi Jaymer!

Your idea sure seems interesting, you could further explain what is your MVP because a "System" is a really vague term.
