ANEPEN

Learn and share skills with people instantly

The Problem

Freedom is important concern for learners looking for learning online. Education Institutions give learners limited learning contents and disconnect them from the outside world. No easy ways exist to learn from distance or become a trainer.

The world is full of people, and there are others born everyday. They all need education to succeed and live better life. But the education providers out there, are less accessible, expensive and outnumbered. People are less connected and limited to education opportunities. Yet, we all believe that education is the key to success and better life. We are all seeking for financial success, to connect and share our success stories. But the available e-learning platforms are so much decentralized, forcing people to be logon many platforms for the same purpose at the same time.

Our Solution

With our platform users will be able to share all their digital learning contents instantly and save money when learning, make money when training and build connection when collaborating.

E-learning is now a game changing! Those with the best e-learning contents can tell you how they succeed. Since education solve big human problems and overcome the most difficult life obstacles, social learning defeat apathy by exciting people’s most useful time and interaction by grabbing users’ attention.

Our Mission

To make education more accessible, shareable and profitable.

Our Vision

To become the best social-learning platform that raises people’s educational and financial standards.

Product Overview

Using our search engine, users can search for learning series using filters like type, category, level, location, and price, or specific types of series like academics and business. Before publishing contents, users create their personal accounts, series centers and provide payout information. Learners require user accounts before purchasing or adding contents to their library. Trainers provide prices and other details for their published series, including series target audience, type, category, level, and benefits to series takers. Learners can chat with trainers or other learners through a secure messaging system and they can host a discussion or online collaboration about the series. Trainers can publish videos, audios and documents just from one single center, so neither trainers nor learners need to be on multiple platforms ever again.

In addition to learning, Anepen provides the following services:

1. Experiences. Learners may find their best local trainers, including  education institutions, teachers, couches, and consultants by reviewing their training experience, contents and community reactions, such as number of subscribers, contents and learners’ interactions.

2. Training Job Marketplace. With Anepen, Education institutions that are looking to hire the best tutors for their institutions, will be able to publish their job vacancies in their centers for trainers to apply.

3. Learning Contents Production. Opportunities include Anepen to establish a referral program with local multimedia companies to help trainers produce high quality learning contents, including videos, audios as well as documents at affordable cost.

Our Target Market

We are B2B2C business model company that work with individuals and education institutions to share learning contents with learners. Thus, our main target market is Trainers. Define three specific objectives that you would like to achieve with your proposal.

Our objectives within the next 12 months:

1. Product and Technology. First to fully develop the product from MVP to Beta version to support all kind of contents including videos, audios, documents and texts and impact at least 12000 people not only Tanzania but globally.

2. Community Base. Second, to motivate and inspire individuals and education institutions to share at least 4 series monthly and reach at least 2340 series publication and 500 collaborations goal among learners and trainers on the platform.

3. Brand and Team. Lastly to build highly professional team of at least 10 members to cover all departments, from software, marketing and multimedia to build strong brand recognition in the market.

What problems (particularly in value chain competitiveness and global disruption) are your community’s stakeholders facing due to the Covid-19 pandemic?

Problems due to COVID-19

The COVID-19 has resulted in schools shutdown. Over 1.2 billion children (With 60+% being girls) have been out of the classroom. Education has changed dramatically with distinctive rise of various strategies kept to solve the negative outcomes. Disadvantaged groups highly at risky include adolescent girls who experience impacts like early pregnancies and marriage a the moment. Economic stress on families put children, and in particular girls, at greater risk of exploitation, child labour and gender-based violence. Youths, especially those from marginalized communities and with disabilities, are affected by the secondary impacts of the outbreak.

What minimum viable solution(s) are you proposing to address the challenge(s) in your community?

1. Research suggests that online learning has been shown to increase retention of information, and take less time, meaning the changes coronavirus have caused might be here to stay.

2. Even before COVID-19, there was already high growth and adoption in education technology, with global edtech investments reaching US$18.66 billion in 2019 and the overall market for online education projected to reach $325 Billion by 2025.

Source: https://www.educationdata.org/online-education-statistics

3. With this sudden shift from the classroom to digital, I suppose that Governments and community in fact, should consider the adoption of online learning as the alternative solution to keep school students safe.

Share your story (your narrative)

For over two years, I’ve been working on a digital solution that is attracting many people everyday. This is Anepen, a web platform where users can share digital learning contents and save money when learning, make money when training and build connection when collaborating.

But why did I create Anepen?

Back in 2014 when I graduated from high school, our family had a lot of financial problems. So I postponed joining college to help my family. I became a high school volunteer teacher in my country. I taught students Mathematics and inspired them about life. Now, to every school I went, I discovered 9 of 10 teachers complain about paycheck insufficiency and students complain about teachers insufficiency. It was out of their complains when an idea fused in my mind. To create a platform that will connect learners to learning contents and trainers to financial opportunities! So that is how Anepen was started.

So if you are a teacher, motivation speaker, author or education institution, you may signup or download Anepen app to share skills.

Please provide any additional relevant information that you would like to share.

Our objectives within the next 5 years:

In next 5 years, we want to equip at least 5million people at the best, equitable, quality - primary, secondary and college education with effective learning outcomes. Secondly, to ensure equal access for all women and men to affordable and quality technical, vocational and tertiary education as well as University. Thirdly, to raise number of young youths and adults with relevant technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship. Also to ensure gender balance and equal access to education for people with disabilities and children in vulnerable situations and lastly to ensure that all youths and a substantial proportion of adults, both men and women, achieve literacy and numeracy.

Our challenges and barriers.

Our challenges in next one year include Partnership with other organizations as we plan to work with organizations to deliver and adopt our services to society easily. Secondly, Content delivery as we plan to work with individual trainers and education institutions to deliver more professional learning contents.

In next 5 years, our challenges will be Technical barriers like hacking, server failure when overloaded, creating and publishing harmful and dangerous contents due to increasing of traffic. Also, Security barriers: like Data theft, copyrights infringement, user privacy invading and people's information revealing among users and lastly, Service expansion barriers as we plan to scale globally using a referral model though some countries have complicated business policies.

Our barriers overcoming strategies.

We will overcome the Partnership with other organizations barriers by creating strong relationships and networks with other organizations and try to close deals faster and Content delivery barriers by hiring the highly professional staff to help direct and enhance the content production and publication.

For the Technical barriers, we will hire more professional and talented software engineers to work on the technical activities, the Security barriers by partnering with the most trusted organizations and create the user guidelines and terms of services and for the Service expansion barriers we will work with other countries service policies and regulate our user guidelines depending on the relevant countries.

Partners:

Our partners include Digital media platforms to help to extend knowledge about our solution and enhance our brand awareness . Secondly, Education institutions and organizations as the main targets required to publish education contents on Anepen. Thirdly, Online payment platforms to simplify the online transactions, Anepen must extend the payment opportunity to these opportunities. Financial organizations such as banks to help us in different manners including payment processes and funding opportunities. Social network companies to extend our online presence and reach more targeted customers, we shall need these platforms and lastly, Poverty fighting organizations to help us implement our mission successful.

Our Partnership Goals:

2. Build and promote our brand in national and international levels to our potential customers, partners and investors.

3. Hire the best few more staff in the industry, measure metrics and learn from the feedback.

Hi Lucas,
It is a good initiative. How are you going to reach vulnerable women in rural areas, with limited internet access? Will the registered users be able to afford especially in rural areas? Do you issue certificates?

Lucas Damas Jun 24, 2020

Hi Eunice,
Thank you for you good question.
Let me take this moment to reply your three potential questions:
1. How are you going to reach vulnerable women in rural areas, with limited internet access?
Actually, it's been so much challenging for many new and in-market initiatives to figure this problem out. But at Anepen, we come differently. We have already initiated the partnership programs with Cellular Network Companies (The relevant internet service providers) to expand their services to rural areas as soon as we finish marketing our platform for rural users and acquire a specific number eager to user it. So no worry. Our partners will help them have better stable internet.

2. Will the registered users be able to afford especially in rural areas?
Thank you once again. To understand more about this question, you may refer the part of my challenge with the heading "Our Competitors, Competitive Advantages and What Makes Our Solution Unique and Innovative:"
The best point of Anepen is that, we, company are not the series/course publishers or creators. Anepen is the free series/course market place where anyone can publish. So it's up on the user to search and find the best affordable or free series they can be interested. Remember for trainers, you are not forced to publish premium series only, it's your freedom to publish free series as well to help people, which means there will be bunch of FREE SERIES waiting for you out there which rural women can afford.

3. Do you issue certificates?
Once again Eunice, we at Anepen, enable individual trainers (like you if you can train) and education institutions to deliver education series/courses to people. So the Education Institutions delivering that education using our platform are the ones responsible to issue you a certificate regarding their terms, but not the platform.

Hope I answered you clearly. If anything unclear, please let me know.

Fahmida Hossain Jun 23, 2020

Are you offering any extra benefits for women? There are so many online education platforms on the market right now why would people be interested in buying your course from your platform? I would like to know what is your competitive advantage.

Lucas Damas Jun 24, 2020

Hi Fahmida,
Thank you for your nice competitive question.
I would like to take this moment to reply your questions as follows:
1. Are you offering any extra benefits for women?
Actually, one of our Anepen biggest goal, is to see Women and Girls succeed educationally and financially. So the number one benefit is for the Trainer. To Anepen, if you are a trainer then you are our KEY RESOURCE. I mean you are our business partner. You are the reason Anepen will grow and sustain because of the Series/Courses you publish on it. So we give a woman trainer 65% of every her series that is purchased on our platform. Which means you get income.
Moreover, we as platform, help all trainers promote the series they create on our platform using Anepen other business channels like social media, mass media and print media. This is for free. Only for being proud of what's done and as at last, we both make money.

2. There are so many online education platforms on the market right now why would people be interested in buying your course from your platform?
Thank you once again. Yes there are so many E-Learning platforms out there. We all explore and see. when coming to financial setups (Prices & Subscription Fees), 90% of them, it's a killing ground. Most of them charge so high to purchase a course or subscribe their platforms. And this must be because of the single content source (TUTOR/TRAINER) which have no great competition in Content Delivery from many sources.
But with Anepen, everyone can publish a series a any price depending their needs. So it's a great competition advantage which will sometimes force trainers to publish premium courses for free as to attract their learners. By the way, on Anepen, when you pay purchase a series, it becomes yours forever. So no need to pay for it again in next time.

3. I would like to know what is your competitive advantage.
Thanks again. To understand more about this question, you may refer the part of my challenge with the heading "Our Competitors, Competitive Advantages and What Makes Our Solution Unique and Innovative:"
The most available E-Learning solutions are mono-content type solutions which offer single type of learning content (either, videos, audio or document content). This forces users to be on multiple platforms when it happens a trainer shares multiple content types in different platforms. But when coming to Anepen, we win the game. We take that Competitive advantage to COMBINE the VIDEO, AUDIO and DOCUMENT learning contents into one single EPICENTER. So Anepen is centralized and users don't have to be on Multiple platforms at the same time anymore. We give trainers ability to publish learning video courses, learning documents and learning audios separately but in one platform and earn from each one of them separately too. So this is our first competitive advantage

Moreover, most of platforms are professional oriented and focused which discourages the education content sharing for ordinary educations like Secondary and Primary schools and other vocational training. But Anepen is for all levels with no professionalism bias or monopoly with benefits/revenue going to minority platform owners or have large revenue share distribution (E.g 50:50, 45:55, 40:60 etc). Anepen shares its revenue for 65:35 ratio which is more than Udemy or Udacity offering. So, win-win and we hit the success line.

Hope I answered you clearly. If anything unclear, please let me know.

Sunday Bawa Jun 25, 2020

Hello, I hope this meets you well. Are the women to re-organise resources that are already available on Anepen platform? Or develop, organise and share? For free? And if so how do you generate your content? Is their an age limit for women on your platform? Women in Africa or across the world? Maybe an open source approach might be more viable ? Business model pls ? Thanks

Lucas Damas Jun 26, 2020

Hey Sunday, thanks for questions bro.
Let me go straight forward:
1. Are the women to re-organise resources that are already available on Anepen platform?
At Anepen, "ORGANIZING" means creating or collecting. Used to refer the CREATION of the learning series/course/resource for a TRAINER. But also used to refer the COLLECTION of the learning series/course/resource in their user libraries, for Anepen LEARNERS. S they both trainer and learner can organize learning resources but in different purposes of usage. Again, Anepen enables users to add learning resources on their own training centers. So, the re-organization of your published series is possible only if you have the authorized access of that resource. You can't re-organize content published by someone else.

2. Or develop, organise and share?
Perhaps words confusion. Make it clear this way.
With Anepen women ORGANIZE, ACCESS and SHARE education.
NOW, This is what is meant by the words:
ORGANIZE - Both learners and trainers can organize contents but differ in purpose.
ACCESS - Means previewing, enrolling, collaborating or interacting in
series discussion.
SHARE - Re-distributing the learning resource link either within Anepen platform or third party platforms.
But for DEVELOP that focuses only on creating. So defines mostly the trainers and not both types of users. Thanks.

3. For free?
Yeah, for free. Not everything is to be purchased. Some are to be for free.
This plays well in marketing your learning content if you are a trainer.
Out of 10 premium courses, if you publish two for free, then you be in good marketing trend as learners will spread you out that you offer free series too.

4. And if so how do you generate your content?
Not all should be premium, remember. We encourage our users to use this strategy for marketing purpose. Remember, Not Anepen Team makes series, users like you. So publish series to benefit yourself, but remember the potential of learners/students.

5. Is their an age limit for women on your platform?
Yes, their is. Our platform is for learning purposes only, therefore, we don't expect negative content against our use terms. Though any woman can be member of Anepen, we suppose to handle users with enough mind maturity who know what to do on the platform. So for women aged 10 and above, can be a member. Below that age, we encourage parents to take control of all the activities for their kids.

6. Women in Africa or across the world?
Anepen is the global platform. Has no boundaries. But to start doing it, we can't go worldwide that super fast. Learning resources differ from one country to another especially academic ones. Also Government rules and policies differ as well. So to make it global as it is, we start firstly focus on one area while making expansion milestone on track for the next place. In spite of the execution/expansion milestone, users from all around the world can join and enjoy the service at any time.

7. Maybe an open source approach might be more viable ?
Yeah, you can call it that way. But except for the part of re-organizing or re-developing someone's content without their authorization.

8. Business model pls ?
May please refer to my application details above for the paragraph with the heading "Our business modal" followed by another "Our revenue Streams" Hope you're cooled with me.

If anything unclear, please let me know.

Christopher Luis Jul 1, 2020

Hello Lucas am so excited about your initiative. It looks so much for women and girls as I can see in most of platform solutions, women are just left behind. But if yours is well implemented, hope girls will get the relevant education smoothly and those women out there with no employment but have training passion or career, this will be their best suitable solution to go after.

After saying that, I have few questions for you.
In one of your comment, you said that, for women in rural areas to benefit from your service, you have planned to partner with cellular network companies to supply the network services in their places. Right, now here are my questions regarding that point:
1. What if the rural ares has no transportation service in case of roads?
2. Will this plan of partnership be implemented worldwide?
3. And if yes, What are the strategies will you undertake to convince other countries in your partnership plan.
Thanks and good luck.

Lucas Damas Jul 6, 2020

Hello Mr Christopher Luis,
Thank you for the feedback and also the questions.
I would like to take account to your questions like this:
1. What if the rural areas has no transportation service in case of roads?
We hope many countries work really hard in supplying the social services for their citizens. This includes water and power supply. When coming to Communication services, in many countries, the problem is just solved by private cellular network companies. And when coming to business competitions, every company tries to be the best in the market in order to win the market. This means that, to become the best service provider, most of the cellular network companies in many countries, try to expand their communication services even to the rural parts with no good road infrastructure in order to capture their users. This can be easily be proved in Tanzania, when there are some parts with no road services, but people have access to the mobile communications.

2. Will this plan of partnership be implemented worldwide?
Of course. We believe that, most of companies have similar social and economic problems. So the partnership plan should be our solution to any country we will focus on expanding our Anepen services.

3. And if yes, What are the strategies will you undertake to convince other countries in your partnership plan.
We understand that, different countries have different rules and policies when coming to businesses. So, regarding that condition, the highly implemented strategy is just to change our business policies regularly in order to go along with the concerned country's rules and policies.

Denis Joseph Jul 1, 2020

Hello Lucas,
Congrats for bringing this might solution for women.
Think it is better to sticky to your plan.
I have few questions to ask you:
1. For a trainee buying a series on Anepen platform, will it be downloadable or not?
2. If yes, what about the content ownership rights of the trainers who publish them?
3. If NO, how will the user have access for it after they purchase?
4. Where will the purchased series be located for the user to access them?
5. Also if No, does it mean that users will have to use internet every time they login on Anepen for accessing the purchased contents?
Let me know from you. Also wish you good luck with your suitable initiative.

Lucas Damas Jul 7, 2020

Hello Denis,
Thanks for your supportive feedback.
We are glad to hear from you.
Here are my answers to your questions:
1. For a trainee buying a series on Anepen platform, will it be downloadable or not?
Great. On Anepen, we give freedom of series creation to the trainer/creator. This means that, the trainer themselves decide whether their series can be downloaded or not. Only just to set the series preferences when creating it.

2. If yes, what about the content ownership rights of the trainers who publish them?
We give trainers the right to protect their ownership rights by deciding either their contents to be downloaded or not. When the content is more valuable to be downloaded then, we recommend them to set to non-downloadable.

3. If NO, how will the user have access for it after they purchase?
Hope I've answered this.

4. Where will the purchased series be located for the user to access them?
All the purchased series get collected in users libraries on Anepen.
It's where the users can organize them accordingly by creating series lists to simplify the enrollment process. This can be done depending on categories, levels or types. Depends on the user's choice.

5. Also if No, does it mean that users will have to use internet every time they login on Anepen for accessing the purchased contents?
Of course Anepen is and online social learning platform. which means it depends on data to operate. But when coming to the purchased contents, We have a development plan that will allow users to access their purchased offline too using the mobile and desktop applications for Anepen.

Hi Lucas,
I'm from Mindanao, Philippines and I've come across your idea and found that it's very useful here for people in Philippines because here are so many unemployed women. But I'd like to know,
How am I going to benefit from your initiative in my country?
What plan you putting for people with low/no understanding of using Electronic devices like Phones, tablets and computers for such service?

Lucas Damas Jul 7, 2020

My team has also company training team to make learning contents for Anepen platform usage. So we believe that for people with low/no well understanding of electronic usage, we prepare our training content to make clear each and everything on how to use our platform.
We make video series, audio and documents to which are shared in our official Anepen center and other social media platforms like YouTube, Facebok, Twitter, Instagram etc. So if you don;t understand something well, you will have to find it out in our platforms.

Rehema Abasi Jul 1, 2020

Hi, hope you're doing well.
I'm excited to see an initiative like this for women and girls.
As a woman, I would like to ask you:
You say users will purchase the premium series published by women trainers using your platform.
1. Now who will host that money from the user which actually belongs to the series owner?
2. Is it your company or the women with a series purchased?
3. If your company, how are you going to share that benefit with women in your platform?
4. Which means of transaction methods are you going to use to benefit those women trainers as you claim?
5. What about the trust between your company and the trainers' money?
6. Is their any legal contract they will sign with your company for financial safety?
That's it. Thanks for your nice initiative and plan. Wish you good luck.

Lucas Damas Jul 7, 2020

Hi Rehema, hope you're doing well.
1. Now who will host that money from the user which actually belongs to the series owner?
Anepen has a payment system that is operated in partnership with an online payment company. So all the collected money is hosted in our company's account in that platform.

2. Is it your company or the women with a series purchased?
It's the company who collect the money.

3. If your company, how are you going to share that benefit with women in your platform?
After collection, we share the revenue with our trainers by transferring the money to their accounts.

4. Which means of transaction methods are you going to use to benefit those women trainers as you claim?
We use mobile payment companies and local banks to achieve this.

5. What about the trust between your company and the trainers' money?
We don't keep people's money. We only request on the transfer or withdrawal. the mobile payment companies are the number one platform believed to have the top internet security.

6. Is their any legal contract they will sign with your company for financial safety?
Indeed. We have a legal contract that a trainer signs online regarding the terms of service

Shalom Mdem Jul 1, 2020

Hi,
Congrats for good solution.
But how are you going to help those women in rural areas who have no even ability of buying those electronic devices like smartphones?
What also about those places with even no power supply?
Will this idea be viable over there too?
Thanks and wish you success on your initiative.

Melbee Emoy Jul 1, 2020

Wow such as amazing idea goodluck

Lucas Damas Jul 7, 2020

Hi Shalom.
Thank you for questions.
1. But how are you going to help those women in rural areas who have no even ability of buying those electronic devices like smartphones?
Now days electronic devices like smartphones have become relevant and common in use. This has caused the price drop. For example in Tanzania, smartphone market price has come down to 30$ which is reasonable for anyone to afford it.

2. What also about those places with even no power supply?
Everywhere, people are struggling to overcome their defeats. This includes the power supply services. Most of places with no national grid power This gives them ability to access their mobile phones. Hence, Anepen usage.

3. Will this idea be viable over there too?
Hope answered this.

Thank you so much brother for the hard work, consistence and persistence until to bring this initiative to life. Atuallly, it wasn't that easy but you did it.
So congrats for that attitude.
We wish you all the best.

Lucas Damas Jul 2, 2020

Thank you so much brother.
As we started the journey, so must we make sure that we reach the pick of helping women and girls achieve their goals.
Though it may look not easy, but under planning and executing, nothing is impossible.
So thanks

Lameck Saimon Jul 1, 2020

hello, hope this finds you well.
You said that using Anepen platform, individual trainers and education institutions will be able to teach or train online.
No, how can education institution with multiple number of teachers or trainers teach in it?
Will each of the teacher create their own centers?
If in they all teach in one center, then how will students recognize and interact with the teachers of the relevant studies?
Thanks. Wish you the best.

Lucas Damas Jul 7, 2020

Thank you bro.
1. No, how can education institution with multiple number of teachers or trainers teach in it?
At Anepen, we have training centers like YouTube channels or Facebook fan pages that is used to host the trainers' contents. So using these centers, One person can create a single center and give roles to other people in the platform to become co-trainers in just the same center.

2. Will each of the teacher create their own centers?
No they shouldn't if they come from the same education institution.

3. If in they all teach in one center, then how will students recognize and interact with the teachers of the relevant studies?
Simply Anepen, simplifies things by letting each trainer appear in the series they create. So by this way, trainee will be able to identiry the real individual owner of the series.

Helena Luis Jul 1, 2020

Hi Lucas,
Your program really inspires me.
I like the fact of the shared revenue model it has.
As now days we see that everyone starts a platform to benefit their companies only. But yours is lil bit different apart from your description.
This is nice model and better as all Education Institution can start online training centers on one single platform so that students won't get problem on getting their best options.

My one question is that: When you talk about freedom of price setup for your series, means you can put any amount. Now what about currency?
Will there be a specif currency that all users will use?
What if everyone will put their own currency?

Lucas Damas Jul 7, 2020

Hi thank you Helena.
1. When you talk about freedom of price setup for your series, means you can put any amount. Now what about currency?
We have different currencies of different countries. We work accordingly with those countries we are already in service.

2. Will there be a specif currency that all users will use?
No, but they will use depending on the country they are.

3. That won't happen because the currencies will have been already set.

Hello,
What level of students and education institutions does your project serve?

Lucas Damas Jul 2, 2020

Hello Valentina,
Anepen aims at helping all women and girls in all levels of education.
We have no boundaries since the platform works with content model.
This means anyone can teach anything on Anepen.
Except for the fact that, we have our content review team (Quality Assurance Officers) who make sure all the contents published meet the required standards of the content category and level.
So feel free to publish any of your training contents that meet our criteria.

Leonard Muwanga Jul 2, 2020

Hello Lucas,
This idea seems relevant.
What is the key innovation does it include actually?
Does it involve any kind of AI application for the existing contents?
Only that. Best wishes to your application.

Lucas Damas Jul 7, 2020

Hello Leonard:
Thank you for questions.
1. What is the key innovation does it include actually?
Simply Anepen innovaton relays on the decentralization of the content sharing combination. Sharing videos, documents and audios in different manners but the same purpose has never been easy. But we make it.

2. Does it involve any kind of AI application for the existing contents?
Yes it applies AI when recommending contents for users.

Your model looks similar to platforms like udemy.com or lynda.com.
These are the giant companies.
Now, what makes you better than they?
Congrats.

Hello Lucas, there are very many learning platforms at the moment especially in light of the Covid19 pandemic, how is yours unique. Would be great to emphasise on this.

Sukhveer Atwal Jul 23, 2020

Hi Lucas,

I love the initiative and idea, here are some questions that I had:

As an all male team, how will you appeal more to your consumer than similar initiatives led by women?

the understanding of your competitors and problem is clear but have you conducted any market research with your target consumers and what feedback have you had from them?

Apologies if I have missed it, but how are you funding the launch costs?

The platform functionality is great, how do you plan to develop the brand to appeal to more consumers? Have you had any feedback on your brand from your consumers?

How willing are teachers/students to pay for your service? Are they the best people to be targeting at this stage? of those users on your platform have you got demographic data that can give an idea of who is already using the platform?

Is the content on your website regulated? So how do you ensure quality from your trainers?

Good Luck!

Sukhveer

Hello Lucas,

Great idea very doable.

Quick question. How are you planning to interlink the content learned through Anepen website with real life employers who are seeking certain qualifications and how practical are all the concepts to users who have no educational background in rural areas to be able to generate their own income ?If they get access to the materials how will the follow through done by the trainers ensure they get the access of the products without internet connection?

Wishing you luck
Best Regards.

It's been late since I left from Dar to Tanga when the schools opened in June.
But I still work on my Anepen Center.
I shared the platform with my students over here and are enjoying my teaching online.
The only thing you guys should do is just finish to build the platform on the Trainer's center. As it lacks some features to monitor series statistics.
Nice to see you in this international contest, by the way.
Win it to help us out.

Lucas Damas Aug 13, 2020

AAAhahah Silayo,
Thanks for coming.
I see your contents.
I've been too lil bit busy working on designing those features you are talking about. Actually yeah it's a time consuming thing.
So I couldn't remember even to contact you to ask about your progress.
But I"m glad to see that you shared Anepen with your students.
We will launch the Word of mouth campaign on September, and Tanga is in plan in November, so just get prepared.

Tafadzwa Chikwereti Aug 16, 2020

Hello ! Lucas

I would like like to share the following with you:

I was about to share a quote that came in my mind a few seconds ago. Suddenly I remembered what Prof. Dr. Günter Faltin wrote." simplicity is a good principle. Complexity is the entrepreneur's enemy. If you believe that "paring down" and "simplicity" are too basic, not impressive enough, and not at all grand, then remember Leonardo Davinci: " Simplicity is the ultimate perfection".

It came to my mind that my quote had already been said by others, several times and in many different ways. But when did they say the quote, did they use the same words as mine, what were the circumstances? How the author did grew up? Was he black or white? A man or female, and many more questions. When I realized that the combinatorial analysis still offers unlimited scope, I silently breathed a sigh of relief. The market is never saturated for entrepreneurs, it requires a dose of simplicity to innovate and propose a sustainable solution while using available material, inclusive what others already used.

Support us with votes and comments, thank you.

Davidson Akujiofor Aug 18, 2020

What is your learning solution for the majorities who can not access digital lifestyle?
How do you screen trainers? To ensure professionals on board.

Nivashini Rave Rattey Aug 27, 2020

You describe a lot about your business model not the solution. Recall the challenge question. Focus should be on the solution. Also, include details on how various stakeholders within your community can come together to help you promote the accessibility and availability of your product.
