Share your story (your narrative)
In 2010 the company i was working restructured and i got laid off. I found myself searching for job and realized that I had spent more money and time searching for job than actually getting. The costs included transport, buying envelopes, photocopying certificates and printing resume after resume.

How/when was it formed?
I got laid off a job i was working as a coffee shop attendant some years back and stayed in the house just nibbling on my savings without knowing where to search for jobs.

It is at this point i started wondering how it would be possible to look for jobs near where i am without having to incur transport costs, papers as well as envelops.
Your project is crucial to fixing youth unemployment which has been exacerbated by Covid19 pandemic.
In all of these, you will need to figure out your target market. You don't just start solving an issue because you experienced it or felt the friction - go to the drawing book, conduct user interviews and validate your idea. The essence is to know the people you are building for which helps to answer questions like, "who will use my product?". Also, retell your story. Tell us why you are necessarily helping people get jobs near them. It's great to see one more person working on similar project. Keep building, you are almost there!
Hi Joseph, its nice to have you on this platform and thank you for sending in your proposal. I see you wish to solve a problem for job seekers by leveraging on Technology. This is is a good idea, however you need to reorganize your answers, so they match the questions being asked. For instance the question of three specific objectives. Look at it as 3 strong goals you wish to achieve with your app (in-respect to problem your solving). i think what you mentioned above does not link to the problem you are trying to solve.
Also can you state who your target market is currently? Then do you have any statistical data or evidence why you are targeting them?
Best of Luck!
Hello, please look at what platforms like BrighterMonday etc offer and ensure you have identified your unique space so that your platform can gain traction
Hi Joseph,
I trust you are well.
Let me congratulate you on your idea. I really love how you’ve outlined the problems faced by your community (and mine) and eager to see Tarea be realized and growth.
I wish to share a few questions and remarks for your consideration.
1. Is allocation made for people who desire jobs but aren’t near the employer’s location
2. Consider setting objectives that look at where you and your team are with Tarea at the present moment and where you intend to go. Also, make them SMART objectives – visit https://thedigitalprojectmanager.com/project-objectives/ for a detailed explanation
3. Consider amending your minimum viable solution to reflect exactly how Tarea will solve the problems you’ve indicated. Also, talk about how Tarea will make money – business model
Hi Joseph,
It is a good idea, that you are trying to solve the unemployment problem for the job seekers. If you can revise your goals and set your objectives with reference to your target audience, rather than your personal interests.

Hello Joseph. Congratulations. Have you considered who would be your customers, your users and willingness to pay? Please provide information on any efforts made to validate your assumptions about the existence of the customers and their possible patronage, if you have done that, Thank you. Great job
What are you doing different than the traditional job board online ? and what's your your business model ?
It's a nice application for job seeker. it will be great if you integrate notification options for the job seeker and company owner. like when any company need any particular people they just write on your app and get an notification who are the perfect match for this job.
Hi Joseph,
very interesting idea! Looking for jobs could be a very overwhelming process. Looking for jobs nearby, could be a useful feature. However, how can we make sure that the best job opportunities are located nearby, and are we sure that is what the users wanted? Have you conducted customers interviews? Maybe there is some available statistics you would like to share? Nevertheless, it is not the first time I hear this idea, meaning that you probably have existing competitors. What are this competitors? Also, as I understand, your competitive advantage is that you can show the jobs on the map. Is that really useful? Why not have simply a field with location and range like on linkedin? Since your app uses location services, how secure can be to a user to share it's own location and how do you fight against fake jobs/candidates?
Thank you in advance for replying. Best of luck with the idea!
Hello Joseph, good day, my question is, Is your APP in-tune with the demand of times. As we all knew that due to covid19 jobs are now moving towards Work-from-home mode? Thank you
the youth have the future. how will you generate supply of jobs on your platform?
hi, how will you ensure that prospective employers provide correct lat/lon for their jobs/offices? how will you plug in Android device API to activate GPS when job searchers open the app?
In the meantime, you may want to have a look at our idea and vote for it if yo like it: https://cocreate.itu.int/post/3496670
Hi Joseph, this is a brilliant idea. You can study more on indeed and LinkedIn to help you find more ways you can monetise your business. Indeed.com is a job board that aggregates postings from many sources, allowing users to search for specific positions. Indeed earns money through the pay-per-click model and web advertising. LinkedIn is a social network for professionals and job seekers that offers a variety of services and makes money through premium subscriptions and enterprise solutions. All the best in your project.
