Digital Storytelling Videos

Menstruation Shouts Project aims at highlighting the secondary impacts of COVID-19 and offering solutions through voicing true stories from the communities. The project targets disadvantaged communities in Egypt and Kenya and it explores the challenges faced within the healthcare system by the frontline healthcare workers. Equally important, it sheds the light in the consequences of the stay-at-home measures on the community level. A collaboration has been established between UMAMI for e-learning solutions, Wejdan organisation and Joy Amani Center from Egypt and Kenya, respectively. The knowledge products in the form of digital storytelling videos and fact sheets have been used in informing decision makers and policy makers on the national level of both countries. Strengthening the South-South collaboration across the same continent exposed the similarities and differences and emphasised the success of the proposed solution and the used innovative tools.
