Digital Literacy in Ecuador’s Amazon

Equitable Origin and Inveneo are using internet connectivity to bridge the digital divide in developing countries. Indigenous Peoples are especially susceptible to COVID-19. Digital literacy that enables access to accurate, timely, and culturally appropriate information is crucial for Indigenous Peoples.  They will gain digital literacy skills to enable them to better access information about health, education, health, rights, culture, and sustainable development. In partnership with Indigenous organizations, we’re facilitating the installation of internet infrastructure and providing tools and training via e-learning to build capacity. This program facilitates Indigenous-led knowledge sharing and cultivates leadership while equipping communities with the tools they need.
